Our Client, a global leader in the luxury goods industry is looking for an HR Manager to join their Canandian office in Mississaga, ON. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 The preparation and reconciliation of Company’s Canadian payroll

  • Single point of contact for all Canadian managers and employees on all HR related matters
  • Go-to-person for all payroll related inquiries from Revenue Quebec and Canada Revenue Agency
  • All WSIB and WorksafeBC injury and illness reporting and remittances
  • Verification of Employer Health Tax (EHT) remittances
  • All on-boarding and off-boarding of Canadian staff, both for shared service and branded retail employees
  • The administration of the Company’s Great West Life employee benefits program
  • Updating, distribution, and online posting of the Canadian Employee Handbook, and all additional policies and procedures, as developed on the Company’s corporate global intranet
  • The maintenance of Company’s vacation/sick days/leaves of absence, record keeping and reconciliation
  • Employee maintenance in SAP HR internal database which includes: month-end headcount reporting; occupational injury and illness reporting; vacancy management; employee data quality check and maintenance
  • Maintenance of the Company Orientation Database and Employee Bulletin Board
  • The Maintenance of the Company’s emergency contact database
  • Hiring process, in coordination with RNA HR – recruitment announcements, background checks, offer letters, interviews, etc.
  • Coordinate with RNA HR on performance management and career development
  • Partner in the development and/or execution of training in leadership development, process improvement, and industry best practices
  • The verification of the Company’s Employee directory on MyRNA and for the updating of the Canadian segment of the HR Focus website, both in coordination with RNA HR.

 CORE REQUIRMENTS

 EDUCATION

 Bachelors in Commerce, specializing in Human Resources; Master’s Degree and/or professional certification preferred

 EXPERIENCE

 7-10 years of progressive experience with proven track record as an HR professional

Experience in the luxury goods industry, preferably in the retail network

 Ability to adapt in the dynamic environment, requiring an “all-hands-on-deck” attitude, with an international industry leader looking to grow in the Canadian market

  • Strong organizational, budgeting and project planning skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Detailed knowledge of hiring practices, employment regulations and compensation administration
  • Sound business judgement, analytical skills and decision making abilities
  • Ability to think strategically and champion change as a business partner
  • Ability to build relationships and network
  • Ability to question leadership decisions, status quo and manage conflicts effectively
  • Strong consulting and change management skills
  • Strong coaching, group facilitation and presentation skills
  • Understanding of interpersonal relationships, human dynamics and organizational behaviour

  • High level of integrity, credibility and discretion with confidential information
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office products; technical expertise in a SAP HR database desired
  • Proven proficiency with both ADP Pay@Work and EzLabour Manager platforms
  • Travel required
